PTA
The school operates its Parents Teachers Association (PTA) as Parents Forum for each section of the school. Parents Forum is held for Nursery, primary key Stage 1 and Primary Key stage 2. We find this a much better and rewarding way of homing in on issues that directly relate to year groups. Our parents are have time to discuss matters that their children have in common and age appropriate.
Students Council
We have a Students Council for Primary. Representatives from each class are elected to the council by their peers. Also, a representative of each house is nominated to the council at house meetings. Basil has 4 school houses. The students Council takes meets with management once a month to discuss student issues and matters relating to their observations about the school.
Scholarships
Basil gives Founder’s scholarships to the less affluent members of the Ilupeju community and public schools around Ilupeju to enable them attend the school. The scholarships are given in memory of the school’s founder, the late Mrs Folasade Biobaku. Scholarship exams are usually held in April.
